  COVID - SAFETY PLAN

Blue Sky Event Services is planning to create a SAFE festival.  We are not sure what state our state will be in by mid-June, but we are ready.  Governor Newsome has stated that the State of California will be open come June 15th...  Time will tell, and we are hoping for the best and planning for the worst.

 

Consulting with the Butte County Environmental Health Department and the CDC for safety protocals, our Safety Plan including Pre-Show, During Festival, and Post-Show safety measures can maximize our success. We believe that we can host a live event with the comfort of knowing we are all safe.

The Chico SummerFest is an Outdoor Event, but please remember if you are feeling sick in any way, please stay home and help stop the spread of Covid.

Depending on the "State of the Nation" and "California", Social Distancing is encouraged.  COVID-19 sanitation will be practiced at this event with Hand Sanitizers and 6' Distance requests.  If we move back to the Purple Tier, we will ask guests to Wear Masks and undergo a Temperature Check at entry.

 

In addition, we have been in contact with CLEARED4 to be ready if needed to implement their program.  We want to make sure we are all safe and protected ...

CLEARED4 is a proactive system that manages the health status of festival vendors, entertainers, guests and staff.  Prior to the festival, CLEARED4 will request documentation from the event participants to ensure that they are all "cleared" before entering the festival.

COVID SAFETY FIRST - 

 

Our world has been paralyzed by the Corona Covid Virus.  The year 2020 affected all of us.  We at Blue Sky Event Series feel for those families that lost a loved one, businesses that have undergone hardship, children that have lost out on education, social isolation, and every human on Planet Earth that has had any challenges with this virus.

 

With certain guidelines in place, we feel that we can host a safe and fun festival for all that choose to participate. To help us with the systems, we have partnered with a company called CLEARED4 and we are following all of the Butte Couty Environmental Health and CDC guidelines.

Blue Sky Event Services is committed to providing events that place participant safety as the number one priority. In light of the current COVID-19 situation, every attempt will be made to minimize the risk of exposure to the virus. Therefore, we are implementing new processes and procedures for events going forward.

 

Blue Sky Event Services Events Will::

  • Follow state and local guidelines in relation to COVID-19

  • Require all guests, vendors, entertainers, and staff to wear masks when they are not in their PODs.

  • Implement a Temperature Check for all Vendors & Guests

    • These safety measures are not only your own safety but for the safety of everyone on-site

  • Request all guests to stay at home if they are at higher risk for severe illness, or if they are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath

  • Create POD’s that small groups of Families and/or Friends can reserve and stay in during the festival

  • Work with Cleared4.com for a comprehensive safety scanning of all vendors, entertainers, and staff

 

EVENT PROTOCOLS:

 

The following guidelines are our best attempt to secure your safety given what is known at this time. They are by no means comprehensive, and we cannot predict every circumstance. Therefore, we are counting on you to exercise your best judgment throughout the event. Please have an awareness and understanding of the following COVID-19 safety protocols:

  • Blue Sky Event Services asks that anyone who is at risk for severe illness, feeling unwell, or who has been in contact with anyone that is sick in the last 2 weeks to STAY HOME

  • ALL vendors, entertainers, and staff are required to wear cloth face coverings or masks 

  • Blue Sky Event Services will encourage everyone to wash hands regularly (with soap and water for at least 20 seconds), especially after using the restroom, before eating, and after blowing their nose, coughing, or sneezing

  • Physical contact is discouraged. Please refrain from shaking hands, high-fives and hugs, except with family or those you have been quarantined with

  • Participants are required to bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant. 

  • Guests, Vendors, Entertainers, and Staff will be required to Sign Waivers Electronically

  • Be cautious when sharing/posting event photos. Even photos of groups maintaining proper social distancing can be mistaken for an inappropriate gathering.

  • If necessary, remind each other gently and respectfully to observe these guidelines

 

Anyone who continually or willfully violates these guidelines will be asked to leave by the event director or other Blue Sky Event Services leader.

 

POST-EVENT PROTOCOLS:

  • Any participant that falls ill within 2 weeks after the event MUST contact Blue Sky Event Services and share a description of their symptoms, related test results, and movements during the event

  • Blue Sky Event Services will make every effort to alert affected participants privately of the situation

 

Ultimately, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you and make a responsible decision on whether or not to participate. You assume all risks and agree Blue Sky Event Services holds no liability if you or anyone in your party should develop any Covid-19 symptoms afterwards by attending a Blue Sky Event Services event. Participants are required to follow these guidelines; any participant may be asked to leave the event for non-compliance.
